Comparing EBHIS and GASS
Comparison of the EBHIS (top panel) and Parkes GASS (bottom panel) data of the same portion of the sky. The data shows the same velocity channel and shows up with the same color coding. The EBHIS data is obtained in high speed scanning mode, which we used for the first full-sky coverage until spring 2011. Obviously, the EBHIS data is competitive to the GASS data and offers a higher signal to noise ratio. Most of the HI structures are not resolved by both single dish radio telescopes, accordingly EBHIS shows more details in the HI clouds.
