The next Call for Proposals for observing time with ALMA (Cycle 10) will be issued in April 2023. The deadline for proposals is expected to be in May 2023, with observations starting in October 2023. The anticipated capabilities have already been outlined in the ALMA Cycle 10 Pre-announcement.

As an opportunity to refresh old collaborations, extend local networks and to kick-start proposal preparation, the German ARC node organizes the

German ALMA Community Meeting 2023

Place: Argelander-Institut für Astronomie, Auf dem Hügel 71, 53121 Bonn
Date: 26 April 2023, 11:00-13:00 CEST

The meeting is designed in form of a science fair with several stands offering interactive displays, hands-on tutorials and individual support, as well as the latest information on ALMA operations and support. A quick round of presentations at the start of the meeting will provide an overview of all that is being offered during the event. Among others, you will get information and tutorials on these topics:
  • ALMA and the German ARC node
  • The Cycle 10 Proposal Clinic (incl. ALMA-OT)
  • Good to know
  • LEGO-ALMA

Colleagues who are unable to travel to Bonn for the event are welcome join the meeting via zoom. Each stand will be present in a separate break-out room. However, interaction via video conferencing has natural limits and extended one-on-one counselling via zoom may have to be postponed to a later date.
