Listing Image Values

You might like to list to a terminal or workstation window some of the numbers from a section of an image. You can do this with the task imlist . Because it is always very difficult to format numbers in a way which suits every application, imlist gives you this job. You do this via the format keyword, into which you put a FORTRAN format specifier such as `1pe11.4', or `f7.2' etc. Any pixel which is blanked will be listed as ``...'' (ellipsis).
