On March 19th, 12 p.m. CET, the Euclid Consortium (EC) and European Space Agency are publishing the Quick Data Release 1 -- somewhere half-way through to the first full data release planned for the second half of 2026.

The Q1 data set comprises, give or take, 63 square degree, high-quality data of the deep extragalactic sky from both the visual and near-infrared camera of Euclid as well as galaxy catalogues with multi-band photometric, morphology, and distance information. Along with the data, the EC delivers a package of publications describing data and instruments. And, of course, there is a bundle of scientific analyses from different fields waiting for you. Feel invited to attend the ESA press event along with the ESA press briefing.

Also check out the EC Publication page where all papers are already made available (from noon, March 19th). On these papers, this video summarises the data presented in seven papers, while this video gives you the jist of the 27 science analyses of the data. Finally, this hightlights the Bonn contributions to the data release.

We are just getting started. Stay tuned! More information on the exciting Euclid mission and its future plans are available here.
