Daniel Stanford and Mary
Children: 1761 John, James, Bedel, Elinor (x Frances Eastwood), Isabella (1789 x John Brownrigg), Mary(died young).

His brother Bedell Stanford later lived at Dominick Street, Dublin.

Loftus and Anne
Loftus was Major. He was the 3rd son of John Cliffe (*1661) of Mul... at New Ross (County Wexford, SE Ireland), and Barbara Carr (their children were John, William, Loftus and Eleanor, Barbara, Mary).
Children: Barbara, Dorothy, Anne (grandmother of Harriet Owen).

Derry, and m. at Wexford, 22 Oct., 1784, Barbara, 2nd dau. of Major Loftus Cliffe, by Anne, dau. of William Hore, of Harperstown, Co. Wexford, M.P. for Taghmon 1727-31, and 1741-6, by the Hon. Dorothy Ponsonby, dau, of William, 1st Viscoun't Duncannon, and sister of Brabazon, 1st Earl of Bessborough. Mr. Stanford d. 1806. ]

John and Christiana
John Gale was reverend in Angersleigh, Somerset.
Children: 1792 Henry Proctor, 1793 John (+1795), 1794 Roger Lidgenham(+1795), 1795 Charles, 1797 Elizabeth, 1798 George, 1801 Frances(+1803) and William(+1805), 1803 Robert Proctor (+1820), 1805 Hanna Ann (+1831), 1806 Edward Proctor(+1810), 1812 Fanni Charlotte (+1847), 1810 Charlotte Christiana (+1842).
Robert, John, George, Hannah, Fanni and Charlotte all died of consumption (mural tablet at church).

Bedel and Elizabeth
Bedel was Captain in the Cavan militia in 1807, a Justice of Peace in 1809, and High Sherrif of County Cavan in 1835.

Did Bedel point out the comet to six year old William?

Some of the inherited property was sold, and most children were born and educated in England, in particular in the vicinity of Elizabeth's relatives.

[ Information from Swanzy: Bedel Stanford, of Cam, High Sheriff Co. Cavan, 1835, J.P. Co. Cavan 28 Nov., 1809, Capt. Cavan Militia 8 April, 1807.   Capt. Stanford, who sold to J.H. Story some lands in Co. Cavan which had been acquired by Ambrose Bedell in IGGl.f d. 25 Dec, 1857. ]
The house Carn, built 1810-1830, still stands but is in disrepair (see Buildings of Ireland). The ancestral property in Co. Cavan was inherited by the eldest son, John Woodward Stanford.
William Bedel would move to Australia and New Zealand to ultimately return to England.   Robert Loftus would move to Christchurch New Zealand.
