General Information
Welcome to the homepage of the X-ray and HI-group at the
Radioastronomisches Institut. For our studies of the Milky Way, the Magellanic Clouds, and external galaxies we use
X-ray data from satellites, and the world's largest radio telescopes.
Despite of the fact that the observing techniques of both
research areas are so different, X-ray, and HI astronomy can be considered as different
twins.
This homepage is intended to guide you through our science. You will find a compilation
of our actual research interests and the persons involved. All relevant publications
are compiled and partly free accessible. Diploma and Ph. D. students may find interesting topics and
are encouraged to contact the researchers directly by e-mail.
Have fun!
