Installation instructions for SAOIMAGE
--------------------------------------

Two versions of SAOIMAGE are provided, along with the source code.

The executables are in the `bin' directory on the CD and can be run
without any additional setup.

If you do not have the required dynamic library versions on your system then 

       LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/astro/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}           (bash)

       setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /astro/lib:${LD_LIBRARY_PATH}    (tcsh)

should help.

If you will be using SAOIMAGE in conjuction with IRAF, please refer
to iraf.readme for setup information.

The subdirectory `saoimage/doc' contains TEX and DVI versions of the 
manual which may be printed.

Online help is available using the integrated HTML documentation, 
refer to htmldoc.readme for details.
