Installation notes for GIPSY

Please follow the instructions in general.readme before attempting to use GIPSY.

Edit the files 
	
	/home/astro/config/gipsy/clients
	/home/astro/config/gipsy/tvdevices

and replace barranco.tuc.noao.edu with the name of your computer. 


Run the tcsh shell (it is in /astro/bin if you don't already have a copy)

If necessary add the LfA libraries to your search path using


	setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /astro/lib

Then set the GIPSY root directory using

	setenv gip_root /astro/gipsy

and finally source the GIPSY setup script

	source $gip_root/sys/gipenv.csh


GIPSY can now be started by typing

	gipsy
