Welcome to the Stars and Stellar Evolution Computer Laboratory Course. This
course is a compontent of
and Stellar Evolution course (astro811), and was originally developed
by Robert Izzard. In this course, students will use a state-of-the-art stellar
evolution code to simulate their own stars. This is done using
the Window to the
Stars package. Those of you with your own laptops may wish to consider
installing the software prior to the start of the lab course.
The exercises for this year's course can be
downloaded here. The perl script needed for the last exercise is available here.
Final reports are due on Friday, 27th January 2017. These must be submitted
in pdf format and emailed to me. Please make the subject of your email "SSE
lab: your full name". Anything else and you risk your work being caught by the
spam filter! Make sure your name is also clearly marked on your report.
