Organizing group: Working Group for the History of Astronomy in the Astronomische Gesellschaft
The meeting will take place as the splinter meeting "History of Astronomy" in the framework of the International Scientific Conference of the Astronomische Gesellschaft (AG) in Heidelberg.

After the founding meeting of 1863 and the conferences in 1900, 1928, and 1950, Heidelberg serves for the fifth time as the meeting place for the AG, this time on occasion of the 100th anniversary of the observatory (Landessternwarte) Heidelberg-Koenigstuhl. The observatory may be visited on Wednesday afternoon (see programme).
There will be the possibility to obtain some books on history of astronomy during the meeting, among them the first two volumes of Acta Historica Astronomiae.
