Dear All,
Here is the final announcement for our meeting at Hoher List. Thanks again for the great interest in the HoLi meeting. This year we will have 28 participants from 5 countries, making this years meeting as large as the one last year.
We have finalised the program and you can find it on our webpage: http://www.astro.uni-bonn.de/~holger/hlmeeting/2006/hl.html
We have organised the meeting into 5 sessions of about 90 mins with coffee
breaks in between. Each speaker has about 20 mins for his/her talk
followed by 10 mins discussion. Please check if we got your details
right. The main aim of the "RSDN" meeting is that people get to know each
other and interested in each others work and can think of chances about
collaboration. So it is not necessary to present talks about final results.
Also if you want to talk for a somewhat longer or shorter time it should
be fine.
We have the following announcements:
- People staying at the observatory do not have to bring a sleeping bag or
bedding since bedding will be provided by the observatory. But feel free
to bring and use your own sleepeing bag etc. if you like to do so. In
order to cover the cleaning costs, we have to ask for a small (additional)
fee of 10 Euros from everybody staying at the observatory.
- We will provide breakfast for people who stay at Hoher List on Saturday
and Sunday. We will also organise lunch on Saturday and Sunday, so its
not necessary to bring your own food. On Friday and Saturday evening
we will have dinner in a restaurant in Schalkenmehren at 8pm (not covered by
the conference fee of 13 Euro).
- We will also buy coffee and cookies for the coffee breaks.
- To cover the above costs we will have to ask you for a "conference fee"
of about 13 Euros, payable by all please, even those staying for one day
only.
- Since Pension Kraterblick was closed, we have reserved rooms for 15
people in the Hotel Schneider (Maarstr. 22). Schneider is the Hotel
in the centre of Schalkenmehren (on the right side if you come from
Mehren). On Friday evening we will also have dinner in the Hotel Schneider
at 8pm.
- Since we are nearly 30 people, it would be good if everybody can
bring a name badge. A leftover badge from some previous conference
will do.
- People who do not want to bring their own notebooks can bring a USB
stick and give their talks on one of our computers. Please prepare a PDF
or Keynote File containing your slides.
We wish you a good trip to HoLi Mountain and look forward to seeing you
there !
Yours,
Holger and Pavel
