Frank Wilkinson Argyle (*1881) and Margaret Sara Causer (*1887)

Frank Wilkinson Argyle
There is some confusion over his year of birth: the census says 1881, the Alumni Cantabriensis says 1880.
Frank went to school in Great Yarmouth, to the Grammar school and Epsom College (see extract of register) with Mr E.W. Plum. He went on as of 1899 to St. John's College Cambridge to become Reverend. He recieved his B.A. in 1903, his M.A. in 1907. He was ordained as deacon in 1905.

In 1905 he became Canon of Onslow Square, London, until 1910. He is listed as subscriber to The Eagle (the annual review of St. John's College), for 1904 with address Ridley Hall, Cambridge, for 1905-10 with address Norfolk Square, Great Yarmouth. From 1910 on he was vicar in Wellington Salop, just 50 km from Birmingham.

Margaret Sara Causer
Margaret was the forth child and first daughter of Daniel Causer, a succesful business man in Birmingham, and his wife Sara, living in Erdiston, just NE of Birmingham centre.

Frank and Margaret married October 1910 in the Aston Parish Church (see the Welsh Newspaper notice on 03/11/1910). The ceremony was led by Rev. Preb. Peploe, vicar of St. Paul's in Kensington, assisted by the Rev. J. Sinclair Moore, vicar of Wellington (where Frank had become vicar) and Rev. J.A. Bevan, incumbant of St. Georges's in Great Yarmouth. The full announcement was also published in the Cambrian News and Merionethshire Standard of 4 November 1910 (as displayed; for explanation of topographic names see the story of her father, Daniel Causer). Frank was then 29 years old, Margaret 23.

Children (6 boys, 2 daughters) of which are known:   1913 John Daniel, who emigrated to South Africa to become teacher there;   1915 Alec Gordon, who also emigrated to South Africa, stayed unmarried;   Geoffrey Vaughan, married Elisabeth Dorothy Vellacott, children Alastair, Duncan, Patrick and Rachel;   Maragret Cicely, *1920, +17/07/2018 Berks. (98 years of age);   Murray;   Hillary, +after 2018 (married to Mr Kent).

Dorothy's grandparents were very committed. They prayed for their grandchildren evry day. They were very Evangelical.
They went on holiday in the same place in Wales by train every year."
