History of Astronomy : Persons : Kepler, Johannes

The Kepler Commission, founded in 1935, is responsible for the annotated historical and critical edition of the printed works, correspondence and most of the scientific manuscripts of the astronomer Johannes Kepler (1571-1630). Besides Kepler's Collected Works some other publications of the Kepler-Kommission are now presented:

The Bibliographia Kepleriana opens up the complete scientific literature of the eminent astronomer and remarkable naturalist Johannes Kepler (1571-1630). This volume includes his own works which were printed during his lifetime as well as editions and works on Kepler which were printed afterwards.

The present issue continues in this order the first edition of the Bibliographia Kepleriana. This volume is a supplementary volume as it is a continuation of the second edition of the Bibliographia (1968 revised by Martha List) which reprints most of the title pages of Kepler's printed works as facsimile. Consequently, it is best to be used together with the second edition.
